Barclaycard were looking to transition from a credit card to a payment brand and required a new identity to support their new direction.

 

The Open World symbol, the core of the new identity, represents the enabling ability of Barclaycard; calm and controlled on the outside, it opens up to a brighter world, free from restriction. 

This work was undertaken in a freelance capacity working for Brand Union (now Superunion).
